The Duc D'Blackadder (fl. 1066) was a member of the Blackadder family who was ennobled by William the Conqueror for his suggestion that led to the creation of the Domesday Book, so that the Normans would know exactly what to steal. The entry for Castle Blackadder reads, "Absolutely Nothing Here".

Oddly, a segment of the Bayeaux Tapestry featured in Blackadder: Back and Forth depicts a member of the Blackadder family fighting for Harold II, and inadvertantly shooting him in the eye. Considering the Blackadder family's penchant for picking the losing side, it is likely that this is the Duc D'Blackadder prior to his ennobling, and that he changed sides after mistakenly killing his own king. Alternatively, this could be another member of the Blackadder family.
