Napoleon Bonaparte (played by Simon Russell Beale) is the Emperor of France, following the French revolution, and determined to win the Battle of Waterloo.
When Blackadder's time machine lands on the Duke of Wellington, he changed the course of history as the British do not know his battle plans. When Blackadder returns to his time, he find's out that the French won the Battle of Waterloo. He goes back and dodges the Duke of Wellington, but instead wishes him luck in the battle.
Napoleon is portrayed as a fat, short and feminine Frenchman who jumps when a musket is fired.
