When people ask "Why was George able to send letters to Germany without being caught out?", i think the writers are trying to indicate that because George is upper-class and Cambridge-educated, the people in charge don't care what he is up to or examine him too closely... until it is too late, of course. 14.2.163.201 02:01, December 8, 2018 (UTC)
